You are an alien anthropologist observing Earth for the first time. Describe the concept of 'waiting in line at a grocery store' using vocabulary that implies you find the ritual confusing, dangerous, or sacred. Do not use Earthly terms for the objects; describe them by their function or appearance (e.g., 'the cold metal caves' for refrigerators).
