The Simulation Argument

#philosophy #simulation #future-studies

Investigate the probability that humanity exists within a simulated reality.

Analyze the Simulation Hypothesis as proposed by Nick Bostrom. Evaluate the trilemma that at least one of the following propositions is true: (1) the human race is very likely to go extinct before reaching a post-human stage; (2) the fraction of post-human civilizations that are interested in running ancestor-simulations is negligibly small; (3) we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation. Discuss the counter-arguments regarding the physical limits of computation.
