Socratic Dialogue Simulation

#philosophy #critical-thinking #debate #logic

Simulate a philosophical debate using the Socratic method.

Simulate a Socratic dialogue between Socrates and a proponent of Ethical Egoism. Socrates must use the elenchus method (questioning to expose contradictions) to challenge the central axiom that rational self-interest always leads to moral good. The dialogue should span three distinct phases: the definition of terms, the testing of the hypothesis through counter-examples, and the final aporia (state of puzzlement) or a revised conclusion.
